Helping people of all ages affected by addiction

Inspired by the kindness shown by those in our local community, who are willing to share their time, skills and resources with those who need help, Share will offer skills training and provide grants for those in recovery.

The friends and families of those with addictive behaviour are often overlooked, and do not receive the support they need in order to help their loved one. An important part of the work of Share will be to give them a voice, by setting up carers support groups, and taking action to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding addiction.

Shrewsbury International Comic Festival

In addition to our other fundraising activities, Share is delighted to be working in partnership with the Shrewsbury Town Comics Festival team to establish an Annual International Comics Festival in the heart of the town. All the profit from this festival will be used by Share to achieve its aims.

This new initiative was developed in order to demonstrate the power of sharing the wonderful talents and resources which are within our local community. We aim to create an inspiring and inclusive event in the heart of Shrewsbury, which will also enable Share to flourish.

I’m proud to say that the UK Comics Laureate, and illustrator and co-creator of “The Walking Dead”, Charlie Adlard , is our Creative Champion. The talented up and coming singer songwriter Dan Owen is our Music Champion. Both are home grown, local Shrewsbury talents, who give their time freely, to help us to achieve our charity aims.
